Community Development can be built upon Luke 2:52, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men.” We long to see God’s work in our lives and in the surrounding communities, healing the body, soul and spirit of a person that will spread into the healing of communities and nations. Let’s look at a wheel - envision an axel representing “growth.” See its three spokes: one represents “stature,” one represents “social,” and one represents “spirit.” Now see how the rim of the wheel is “wisdom,” which takes us where the wheel needs to go. The longer the spokes the larger the wheel. If any of these spokes fail to develop, the wheel will become lopsided and will not be able to move forward.
